Free Art class with Guest-Artist Craig Richards
Monday, January 22, 10 - 11 am
Award winning artist Craig Richards will share insights concerning gear, paint, techniques and important concepts essential to successful painting. He will share painting demonstrations and coach students to complete paintings unique to their varied interests and styles. Students are responsible for providing their own supplies. Any colored medium is acceptable since Craig tends to teach concepts as opposed to techniques. Come prepared to learn in a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Afterthoughts Book Club reads "The Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline

In February, the Afterthoughts Book Club will be discussing "The Orphan Train", a New York Times Bestseller by Christina Baker Kline. Molly is a rebellious seventeen-year-old who grew up in the foster care system. Vivian is an elderly woman with a long-forgotten childhood as an orphan. After spending time together, they form an unlikely bond and begin to reconcile their difficult pasts with help from one another. All are welcome to join us for a friendly and interesting discussion!
