Six artists exhibit at the Central Library

Enjoy the artwork of six local artists in the Lobby Gallery on the second floor of the Central Library.

Owens Daniels began learning about photography in the US Army, and he gained more experience working as a photographer at Olan Mills and Lifetouch Portraits. He has since expanded his work to include street photography and photojournalism. His photographs in this exhibit are printed on canvas.

Diane Faison spent 25 years as a teacher in Virginia. Now living again in Winston-Salem, Diane uses her own imagination, combined with imagery of both African and Native American cultures, to create her unique shadow-box fans. The fans are created from natural materials.

Jack Hernon has 45 years experience as a professional color specialist and as a fine artist. He has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His work in this show is acrylic and mixed media.

Susan Lautemann retired after working as a teacher and therapist, and she now spends time creating paintings that are beautiful and thoughtful. In this show she is exhibiting landscapes of local scenes.

Leo Rucker has dedicated 25 years to creating art. He has worked with triad area arts programs to encourage young artists. He has a degree in commercial art from Rutledge College. His paintings in this show are on shaped canvases.

C. B. Tatum is the former owner of Tatum Outfitters, which he ran for many years. He is now a folk artist, creating art from found objects. In this exhibit he is showing animals and flowers made of metal pieces, old cans and other materials that he cuts, shapes and paints, and also paintings on metal and on window panes.
