Art exhibit by Barbara Rizza Mellin at the Central Library until April 30, 2020

Be sure to stop by the Central Library to see the art exhibit by printmaker Barbara Rizza Mellin.

Mellin has been inspired by printmakers from the past throughout the history of art, from Renaissance etchings to Baroque mezzotints to Japanese woodblock prints, and her work reflects these inspirations. She also incorporates more contemporary methods such as monotypes and the use of environmentally-friendly inks. Mellin says she enjoys the complex process of printmaking as much as she enjoys the finished pieces. This exhibit includes intaglio, relief prints using wood blocks and linoleum blocks, monoprints and hand colored dry point prints. The various scenes depicted are from her travels to Italy.

Let yourself be inspired by these prints by Barbara Rizza Mellin. The exhibit is on the second floor of the library, and will be on exhibit until April 30.
