Legal Aid Clinic: Social Security Disability

Legal Aid of North Carolina holds free monthly or quarterly clinics on common legal issues all around the state. The clinics educate people about their legal rights and, in some cases, empower them to file certain legal actions without a lawyer. Participants can also ask general questions of volunteer attorneys. Clinics are free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. Local author Ray Morrison will discuss his novel, "In a World of Small Truths" with a book signing to follow. Morrison won first prize in the Short Story category of the 2011 Press 53 Open Awards (judged by Chris Offutt) and he has twice won Honorable Mention in the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition.
