How Did That Get on the Shelf?

With so many books published each year, how does the Library choose which titles to purchase and add to the collection? Well, that’s the job of our Collection Development Manager who coordinates material purchasing for the library. A fancy way of saying she reads through book review publications, publisher emails, catalogs, etc. and chooses what she thinks you, our customers, will want to read in the next week, month, and year. However, there more to it than simply reading reviews.
