August brings great programs for Adults at Walkertown Branch. Come to the library and enjoy Coloring for Grown-ups, digitize your old videos and music tapes, watch a movie, solve a crime with a donut, or try a Yoga class. All events at the library are free!
Coloring has been linked to reducing stress and agitation as it refocuses the brain. Come to Walkertown Branch library on Friday, August 26th, at 10:30 am and color your world beautiful! All materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own colored pencils or your new coloring books.
On Friday evening, September 30, acclaimed classical pianist Pamela Howland will perform at the Walkertown Branch Library in a unique piano concert, “Chopin Meets the Beatles: Songs of Love, Loss and Longing.” Her program will consist of Chopin selections paired with Beatles songs that she has arranged in Chopin-inspired style.
Yoga is more than just postures. It’s a system to awaken your full potential. In these classes we’ll introduce you to yoga-meditation. It can breathe new life into your mind and body.
