On Monday, March 5 at 6 pm, Daren Ziglar will speak at Walkertown Branch Library on The Hometown Crisis: Opioid Epidemic. Mr. Ziglar is Assistant Chief for Forsyth County Emergency Services and a Medical Examiner for Forsyth County. Attend this important community meeting to learn valuable information about the opioid crisis, including what is being done at state and local levels.
The Afterthoughts Book Club at Walkertown Branch Library will be discussing Helen Simonson's debut novel, "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand". Written with sparkling wit and comedy, the novel was beloved by critics when it was released in 2010. A comforting cup of tea leads to a blossoming romance between Major Ernest Pettigrew and Mrs. Jasmina Ali, but their English village eyes them with suspicion.
