Parks and Recreation
The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to serving all residents
and visitors of Forsyth County through park development and recreational activities.
Our nine parks are designed to offer opportunities to enjoy nature and the out-of-doors.
We offer programs which help recharge physical and mental energies in a recreational
atmosphere.

Tanglewood Park will be opening the back gate entrance for the next six weekends due to the N.C. Department of Transportation completing preservation work on the bridges that carry I-40 West and East over the Yadkin River at the Forsyth-Davie County line. The preservation work will take place starting at 8:00pm Friday through 6:00am Monday for six consecutive weekends.

The dog park, Tanglewoof, opened at Tanglewood Park on Sunday, May 5, 2013. This dog area is designed for dogs to legally run off leash in a 2.3 acre fenced area. Part of the area is fenced for small dogs and another larger area for big dogs.

Clemmons, NC- Forsyth County Parks & Recreation will not host its own fireworks display at Tanglewood Park due to the cost to put on the event exceeding the level of sponsorship in place.

Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the launch of our new online Reservations System! This system will allow clients to book facilities online, view photos of facilities, and look at diagram layouts of facilities.

Master Plan for Triad Park is available for viewing.

The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department along with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning Department developed a Master Plan for Horizons Park with participation by citizens and stakeholders.
