Local Produce in Season in September

From apples to tomatoes, there are a variety of North Carolina grown foods available in farmers markets and grocery stores in our community. When you buy locally grown foods, you support local farmers and our local economy.

Fruits and vegetables are naturally packed with vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and fiber and are low in calories. When you purchase items in-season, especially those grown locally, you get optimal freshness, nutrition and taste.
