December Civilian Staff Member of the Month

Melissa "MJ" Jones is the Administrative Assistant in the Civil and Support Division. MJ is highly motivated and since coming to the CVSS, she has shown a great interest in learning all aspects of her duties. She has played a key role in keeping the CVSS organized and functioning in a time when there were leadership and supervision changes.

MJ has earned a reputation as being hardworking, thorough, and organized. This has lead to her being seen as a" go to person" for new and challenging projects. In addition to her assigned duties, she has voluntarily offered to assist the agency's Chaplain with administrative tasks and was sought out to be an integral part of the newly mandated implementation of the "Run And Your Done" legislation. She has also been tasked with additional duties since the responsibilities of the Court Services Section have been assigned to the CVSS Division.

MJ plays a significant and important role in the day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office and does so in a thorough and professional manner. Her "can do" attitude is an example to her fellow staff members and is deserving of recognition.
