February Detention Staff Member of the Month

Corporal Vaughn has been employed with the Forsyth County Detention Bureau since March of 2000. He performs all duties and responsibilities with limited or no supervision and follows instructions in a timely manner. Corporal Vaughn uses good communication skills when interacting with fellow officers as well outside agencies.

On February 23, 2015 a call was made for medical staff to respond to the front lobby of the Forsyth County Detention Center due to a visitor falling. Corporal Vaughn responded to assist with the situation. The visitor had passed out and hit his head on a counter. Corporal Vaughn stood by with the visitor while medical staff completed an evaluation. Once medical staff was complete, Corporal Vaughn assisted the visitor into a wheel chair and helped him into his vehicle.

Corporal Vaughn showed compassion for the individual as well as professionalism during the incident.
