June Sworn Staff Member of the Month

Sergeant D. Decker has dedicated countless hours of her time to improve and enrich the lives of other in her law enforcement career. During the month of June, Sergeant Decker was instrumental in raising money for the Special Olympics of NC on behalf of the FCSO. She took on the task of coordinating a motorcycle ride and fundraising event for Special Olympics and donated her own time to see that the ride was well advertised and successful. To date, she has collected over $6,500.00 for Special Olympics.

Sergeant Decker is also an Adviser for the FCSO Explorer Post program for youth interested in a career in law enforcement. The Explorers meet two nights a month and participate in events throughout the year to encourage young people to be good citizens. She plans and participates in events with the Explorers, such as the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. This event also raises money and awareness for Special Olympics of North Carolina.

Sergeant Decker has shown great care and genuine interest in Special Olympics of North Carolina and the FCSO Explorer Post program. She is a positive role model for the youth of Forsyth County and fellow officers.
