On October 18, 2018, Deputy Breen was assigned as the male Intake Officer in the Law Enforcement Detention Center. While Deputy Breen was performing a clothed body search of a newly in-custody individual, he discovered a clear plastic bag containing an illegal substance. The bag and its contents were promptly returned to the arresting officer and that officer filed appropriate additional charges. Deputy Breen's diligence in searching the new arrestee prevented illegal drugs from entering into the LEDC, continuing to ensure the safety and security of all within the facility.
