In January, a citizen called in to thank Deputy C. King for doing a special thing for her daughter. While on duty, Deputy King was serving papers at a group home when he met this young lady unrelated to the serving documents. The young lady told Deputy King she was having issues. Deputy King took the time out to listen and during the conversation, she disclosed that she loved to crochet in her spare time. Deputy King went out of his way purchased a big box of yarn for the young lady so that she can continue doing what she loved to do. Deputy King displayed love and compassion while going above and beyond his call of duty, taking the time out of his own schedule to encourage and show this young lady that someone cared. Deputy King’s service to the citizens of Forsyth County embodies the values of the Sheriff’s Office.
