One Stop Early Voting Schedule

Early, no-excuse absentee voting will begin at 8:00 AM on Thursday, August 27th, and end at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 12th for the Winston-Salem Primary Election. Early voting will be held at the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 N. Chestnut Street in downtown Winston-Salem. Monday through Friday hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The only weekend day we will be open during this time is Saturday, September 12th, and our hours will be 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. In observance of Labor Day, there will be No Early Voting Monday, September 7th!

Those eligible to vote in this primary election include residents within the following city council wards of the City of Winston-Salem: East Ward, North Ward, Northeast Ward, Northwest Ward, South Ward, Southeast Ward and the Southwest Ward.

If a North Carolina resident has missed the 25 day deadline for voter registration (August 21, 2009) and has lived at their current address for at least thirty (30) days, he/she may register and vote during One-Stop Absentee Voting.
