Choosing and Caring for Trees

A tree is an investment in so many ways. In pleasure. In biodiversity. In the value of our homes and our neighborhoods. In hopes that your family will enjoy its shade for many years. In expectation of a crop of fruit. Because of October.

Forsyth County Master Gardeners present a program on how to choose the right trees for our climate and your home landscape. There are so many good choices, both familiar, and unusual. Learning what will work for you, and about the care to give your trees, will ensure long term success.

We'll learn about selection and placement, planting and pruning techniques, and care for older trees. Join us at Southside Library. This program is free and open to the public.

“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” ~ Nelson Henderson
