These 2600-year-old gems have never been so entertaining! Join Elizabethan actors as they stumble upon your assembled crowd and decide to put on a show of Aesop’s greatest hits! The result is a high-energy production that leaves audiences shouting for more! From “The Fox and the Grapes” and “The Tortoise and the Hare” to “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” and “The Lion and the Mouse,” these animal-filled adventures focus on honesty, compassion, hard work and kindness, as well as using audience volunteers to introduce the play and create a flock of very funny sheep!

African Folktales

Join Akili as she shares these exciting tales that were traditionally passed down by word of mouth. With imaginative costumes and lots of audience participation, this production is sure to be a huge hit among your young audiences. These stories bring to life the vastness of the African landscape and a variety of clever animals, and include valuable character-education themes. Celebrate world cultures, literature and the art of African storytelling with the newest show in the Bright Star repertoire! A true celebration of world cultures and literature.
