Community Gardening 101: Grow a Great Idea!

Communities all around America are responding to the desire to be more economically self-sufficient and enjoy the most healthy, freshest, locally grown food. For gardeners who don't have their own spaces at home, community gardens can be the answer. Community gardens provide space for individuals and families to grow their own produce, but they also grow great neighborhoods. You can make new friends, share and pass along gardening experience, develop networks, and enhance a neighborhood’s sense of self with a thriving community garden.

To get started with a new community garden, or learn how to become part of an existing one, join us as Mary Jac Brennan from Forsyth County Extension Service presents Community Gardening 101. This program is free and open to the public, but please call 703-2867 to register so we will know how many to expect.
