A-movin' and A-groovin' Thursdays Mornings at Walkertown

Music and Movement at Walkertown Branch, 10:30 am Thursdays, offers children and their caregivers a half-hour of musical enrichment and gentle, indoor exercise every week. Playing with a variety of songs and moving to a range of rhythms helps develop musical competence. Libraries become a fun place where stories are heard lyrically and language emerges rhythmically.

The half-hour class targets ages birth-through-six.

Adult participation adds to the fun. Children absorb and imitate all the ways people express music. A range of responses is expected from little ones, as well; some follow along, while others wait and watch, joining along in their own time. Add Music and Movement to your fall schedule. Come sing, dance, and play along.
