Civil War Author Clint Johnson

Learn about the Civil War Sites of the Carolinas from Civil War author and expert, Clint Johnson. His book Touring the Carolinas' Civil War Sites includes 21 tours of battlefields, forts, memorials and homes and towns that played significant roles in the Civil War.

Mr. Johnson is a native Southerner with Scots-Irish and Welsh ancestors who first settled in North Carolina in the 1730's and 1760's. He has a jouralism degree from University of Florida and has written nine books on the Civil War, one on the South and one on the American Revolution. He also assisted Clarence "Big House" Gaines in writing his autobiography.
