Pain Pain Go Away!

Nancy Crooks, a licensed bodywork therapist and the sole proprietor of Handspring Bodywork in Winston-Salem, will present information about Mechanical Link, a gentle, little-known treatment that helps people heal from back pain, migraines, arthritis and other chronic conditions, even after drugs and surgery have failed.

In nearly 30 years as a licensed bodywork therapist, Nancy Crooks was troubled by seeing so many patients who weren’t helped by traditional medicine, and weren’t sufficiently helped by the therapeutic massage and other treatments she was able to provide. Some seven years ago she learned about, and received training in Mechanical Link. This method has enabled her to successfully treat hundreds of patients in North Carolina.

Developed by a French osteopath in the 1980s, Mechanical Link is based on the fact that all parts of the body are connected at the level of the fascia, or connective tissue. Pain felt in one part of body most often originates in another part of the body. The Mechanical Link therapist locates the restrictions that are the true sources of pain, and gently releases them so that the body can heal itself.
