Backyard BowPro and Cooperative Extension are supporting Local Food Relief Efforts

Join Cooperative Extension and Backyard Bow Pro at an informational session on Tuesday September 24, 2013 from 7-9 pm at the Forsyth Agriculture Building located at 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 to learn how farmers, hunters, land owners, and Second Harvest Food bank can work together to help feed the hungry.

Did you know that one deer could provide as many as 200 servings of lean, healthy red meat? Joe Lasher and Jamie Wolfe of Backyard Bow Pro will lead a discussion on how we can work together as a unified group to serve our community as food providers.

A Second Harvest Food bank representative will update us on the local need and what an increase of red meat donation would mean to their organization.

Hear from local farmers about the benefits of working with Backyard Bow Pro and a representative from the NC Wildlife Resources Commission who will discuss deer and deer densities, natural balance and more. There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
