Detention Sergeant Bobbie J. Merritt Retires

Detention Sergeant Bobbie J. Merritt began her Law Enforcement career on August 18, 2001, as a Detention Officer with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. During her career, Detention Sergeant Merritt received the 15-years of service Commendation Bar and five (5) different letters of commendation for her contributions to the Sheriff’s Office. She also earned several promotions, with her most recent promotion to the rank of Sergeant on February 15, 2014.

Throughout the course of her career, Detention Sergeant Merritt was assigned to both the Security Services Division and the Operational Services Division. She was also a member of the Special Response Team. At the time of her retirement, Detention Sergeant Merritt served in the Security Services Division.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wishes Detention Sergeant Merritt all the best in her future endeavors!
