Innovative HAND TOOLS WORKSHOP

Join Small Farm Unit staff Leeanna Bunch and Matt Ball, NC Cooperative Extension agent Mary Jac Brennan, and Fair Share Farm owners Emma Hendel and Elliot Seldner for a workshop on using innovative hand tools in the field.

Small scale mixed annual vegetable producers will have a chance to view these tools and try them out in person. Tools that will be showcased include: silage tarps, paperpot transplanter, tilther, flame weeders, quick-cut greens harvester, and Jang JP-1 seeder, half moon hoe, stirrup hoe, collinear hoe, broadfork, and CobraHead.

Parking spaces are very limited at the farm. After you register, please call Mary Jac Brennan at 336-703-2869 to reserve a space on the van which will depart the NC Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center at 8:30 a.m.

*Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Walk ins are accepted the day of the event ONLY IF there are spaces available*

Registration fees support educational programming at the Small Farm Unit.
