The Library will once again partner with volunteers from AARP and VITA to offer tax assistance at many locations throughout Forsyth County, including several libraries.
A low cost rabies vaccination clinic is being held at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter on Saturday, April 22. One (1) and three (3) year vaccinations will be available, proof of prior Rabies vaccination required for 3 year vaccination, $5 per vaccine. Only cash transactions accepted. Dogs, cats and ferrets only. Dogs must be leashed. Cats and ferrets must be in carriers. Pets must be at least 3 months of age.
Today, Gloria Whisenhunt, Forsyth County Commissioner and North Carolina Association of County Commissioners Board member joined President Trump and county leaders from across the country for an executive order signing ceremony at the Oval Office. The executive order requires federal agencies to review and reconsider the “Waters of the U.S.” (WOTUS) rule.
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will consider the following volunteer board appointments at their regular scheduled meeting on May 8, 2017.
The City of Winston-Salem, in partnership with Forsyth County and the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS), is beginning work on an Assessment of Fair Housing.
The classroom portion will meet from 9am to 12 noon at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Center. The course will be instructed by experienced Beekeepers from our Association.
