AQI readings are Code Green to start the new workweek. Pleasant weather is on tap for the next few days with high temperatures near 70 degrees. A mainly dry cold front will sweep through on Wednesday and offer a change of air mass for Thursday. Out ahead of the front, conditions will be conducive for the formation of a strong temperature inversion tomorrow. With high pressure remaining in control, AQI readings are expected to increase into the lower Code Yellow range. The timing of the frontal passage on Wednesday is uncertain and it could hold off until the evening hours. If that occurs then ozone readings could reach the lower Code Yellow range, however, an earlier frontal passage would cause lower readings. Good air quality is expected in the wake of the boundary on Thursday. (Perrotte)
