Free Movie Screening: Hacksaw Ridge

Thursday, February 23 at 8:00 pm in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium (This is a special after-hours screening. Only the auditorium and bathrooms will be accessible. The rest of the library will NOT be open for business!)

Come watch this intense, critically-acclaimed war drama, directed by Mel Gibson and starring Andrew Garfield, Hugo Weaving, and Sam Worthington. Hacksaw Ridge is the extraordinary true story of conscientious objector Desmond T. Doss who saved 75 men in Okinawa, during the bloodiest battle of WWII, without firing a single shot. Believing that the war was just, but killing was nevertheless wrong, he was the only American soldier to fight on the front lines without a weapon. As an army medic, Doss single-handedly evacuated the wounded near enemy lines - braving enemy fire and putting his own life on the line.

Warning: This film is rated R for graphic violence. Patrons must be 18 years old in order to attend. Some light refreshments will be provided.
