On the Same Poem welcomes Larry Barron, LB the Poet. LB, a North Carolina activist and Winston-Salem leader in the poetry community, will be our featured poet for Forsyth County Public Library’s On the Same Poem Luncheon, Thursday, April 26th at noon at the Forsyth County Central Library Auditorium. Help raise funds for your local library! The Rural Hall Branch Friends of the Library will be holding their Spring 2018 Book Sale May 17-19th in the Auditorium. Book donations are welcome. In addition to the large variety of items for sale, there will be an opportunity to join and learn more about how the Friends support the Library year round.
Our latest public display was installed on Thursday, March 29th and will be available through May 31st. Dot Shuford of Rural Hall, has graced our lobby display window with 12 original colored page works of art. She is excited to have her very first art display available for all to see right here in the library. The staff was blown away by her skillful use of color to make the images really come alive. The Library is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to present a year-long series of programs on healthy aging. Programs will take place the second Tuesday of each month in the Central Library Auditorium.
