A conversation about the need for LGBTQ inclusiveness in literature with two bestselling authors who regularly include such characters.

Amber Smith is the New York Times bestselling author of the young adult novels, "The Way I Used to Be", "The Last to Let Go", and "Something Like Gravity". An advocate for increased awareness of gendered violence, including sexual assault and domestic or intimate partner abuse, as well as LGBTQ equality, she writes in the hope that her books can help to foster change and spark dialogue surrounding these issues.
Meet Amber Smith at the library's information booth from 2:30-3 p.m.

She is best known for her Wayfarers series, which currently includes "The Long Way to a Small", "Angry Planet", "A Closed and Common Orbit", and "Record of a Spaceborn Few".
