Mindfulness Meditation for Adults with Ann McCarty

Join experienced Mindfulness instructor Ann McCarty and learn how to lower stress and be present to whatever comes your way. This free mindfulness meditation class starts on Wednesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. Through sitting and walking meditation exercises, Ms. McCarty will instruct attendees on how they can skillfully meet life’s difficulties through breathing and mindful movement. Spanish Language: Free Class
Wednesday, November 28, 6 - 7 pm
A new Spanish class for adults will be held at Walkertown Branch Library on Wednesdays beginning November 7 through December 12 from 6-7 p.m. While this class is aimed primarily for beginning students, all levels are welcome. Susan Moretz, an experienced ESL and Spanish instructor, will be leading the class.

The Walkertown Branch Library offers free, do-it-yourself digitization of photos, VHS tapes and audio tapes to share and enjoy for years to come. Free help with the equipment is available. Call 336-703-2990 to sign up for one-on-one assistance with the equipment.

Learn to communicate - listen, speak, read, and write - in German with help of a professional instructor, Brigitte Woloszyn, from Germany. Free Drawing Class
Tuesday, December 11, 10 am - 12 noon
Learn Pencil Drawing techniques from artist Cheryl Powell. No previous experience necessary. Please register for the class by phone 336-703-2990 or via email at walkertownlibrary@gmail.com. We'll be drawing a portrait using color pencils and conte crayons which are similar to chalk and come in brown, rust color, white and black. Everyone should bring a piece or two of smooth heavyweight drawing paper, and a photo of something they like to draw. Everyone invited, especially beginners.
