Free Programs for Youth in September

PROGRAMS for Youth in SEPTEMBER:

Wednesday, September 12th @ 3 p.m.-----Program for Teens (TEENS)
Join us at Walkertown Branch Library for our Program for Teens every second and fourth Wednesday. Based on the teen interest on that day, we might have board games, crafts, or something entirely new to offer!

Saturday, September 15th @ 11 a.m.-----Slime + Science = Slimence (TEENS)
Teens will learn how to read recipes, measure and mix, and experiment with trial and error while making ooey gooey slime to take home and enjoy.
Registration is required, spaces are limited. Please register at the library circulation desk or by calling 336-703-2990.

Tuesdays @ 10:30 am-----Storytime (KIDS)
A fun-filled 30-minute program for kids 0-5 with stories, songs, and dancing. A new theme each week!
Our storytime themes for this month are:
Sept. 4 - Back to School
Sept. 11 - What a Mess
Sept. 18 - Ahoy, Pirates
Sept. 25 - Hello Fall!

Thursdays @10:30 am-----Music & Movement (KIDS)
Join a roomful of toddlers and preschoolers for lively fun, stretching, dancing, rocking, and rolling. Rhymes, chants, and song lyrics develop emerging literacy while everything we do develops rhythm skills. Social skills and relaxed exercise complete the fun.

On-Going-----Coloring Sheets (KIDS)
Stop by the front desk at Walkertown Branch Library to take some coloring sheets home with you!

On-Going-----Board Games (TEENS)
Any teen can borrow a board game to play with their friends inside the library, no library card required! (Board games do not leave the library and must be traded for something that won't be left behind, like keys.)
