Reynolda Revealed: Free Public Lecture Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Walkertown

Phil Archer from Reynolda House Museum of American Art will share some never-before-heard stories, talk about what's involved in the roof rehabilitation project, and answer questions about the history and future of Reynolda. This event is sponsored by the Walkertown Area Historical Society.

Reynolda, the historic home and estate of R.J. and Katharine Reynolds, has long been an integral part of the Piedmont Triad's history and continues to make its history and collections relevant to new audiences. In 2018, Reynolda launched a new mobile tour, hired a new Director of Reynolda Gardens, and is planning one of the largest rehabilitation projects in its history when it replaces the iconic green roof of Reynolda House.

Phil Archer is the Betsy Main Babcock Deputy Director at Reynolda House Museum of American Art in Winston-Salem, where he has worked since 1997. In 2016, Archer was recognized by the Southeastern Museum Conference with its annual Outstanding Services to the Museum Profession Award. He oversees a team of staff responsible for caring for and exhibiting the Museum's collections, changing exhibitions, educational programs, community events, and the Estate Archives.

Free public lecture. No reservations required.

Sponsored by the Walkertown Area Historical Society.
