Sensory-Friendly Family Movies at the Lewisville Branch Library:

Everyone is welcome at these sensory-friendly films. The movies will be shown in the Lewisville Branch Library's auditorium with low lighting (dim lights will remain on). The sound will be on, but turned down so that it is not too loud. English subtitles will be turned on. You are free to move around and make noise during the films in a judgement-free zone. Families are permitted to bring their own snacks from home. You may bring blankets to lie on if you wish, but chairs will be provided.

"Space Buddies" (G): Monday, July 1 at 10 a.m.
Follow five astro-mutts on a mission to the moon!

"Treasure Planet" (PG): Monday, July 8 at 10 a.m.
Treasure Planet is an animated science-fiction version of the book, Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson. A spaceship crew searches for a fabled planet where space pirates have stashed their loot. However, a mutiny disrupts plans along the way. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures in 2002. Run-time is 96 minutes.

"WALL-E" (G): Monday, July 22 at 10 a.m.
Oscar-winning CGI-animated delight about the misadventures of the last robot on Earth, circa 2800, who falls in love with a sleek, high-tech android.

"E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" (PG): Monday, July 29 at 10 a.m.
A lonely boy befriends a homesick alien stranded on Earth and attempts to help him find a way home. Meanwhile, a group of government scientists attempt to capture the benevolent visitor for research.
Produced by Universal Pictures in 1982. Run-time is 115 minutes.
