Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is now on FACEBOOK

Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is making it easier for you to see what’s going on with the Department while browsing on Facebook.

The Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to serving all residents and visitors of Forsyth County through park development and recreational activities. Our nine parks are designed to offer opportunities to enjoy nature and the outdoors. We offer programs which help recharge physical and mental energies in a recreational atmosphere.

With so many exciting events and facilities at our parks throughout Forsyth County, what better way to stay in tune than receving updates on our brand-new Facebook page!

General Park Information

  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Passenger Vans and Buses
    • $2.00 - All other vehicles
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Welcome Center for $50.00 for passenger vans and buses and $25.00 for all other vehicles. Entrance fees and annual passes do not include admission to special events.
