Shelters must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance. Due to necessary preparation,
we cannot accommodate requests for reservations less than 2 weeks prior to an event.
Whether it is a picnic or an informal company gathering, the prime location beside the Aquatic Center and tennis courts makes this a destination shelter!

There is no playground next to the shelter.

Bands and DJ’s are allowed (no 30 amp outlets available).

You may add a hayride to your event for $125/hour. Call the Tanglewood Stables at (336) 766-9540 for more information or to schedule ride. Rates are subject to change.

Sporting equipment is available from the Front Gate. The credit card number left on file will be charged $20 if all sporting equipment is not returned in the same condition at the end of the rental period.

In order to effectively provide service excellence to our customers, the Tanglewood
Park's Marketing and Events Office requires appointments to be set up by clients
in order to view rental facilities. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this
process. Scheduled appointments will allow us to better serve our customers as it
correlates with our professional standards that we strive to provide for citizens,
customers, vendors and contractors. Thank you for selecting us for your event needs!
Appointments must be scheduled during the following times:
- Mondays: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
- Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Thursdays: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
