    Child Receives Citizenship Award from Sheriff William T. Schatzman

    On March 30th, the Forth County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a gun being found by a child. The responding officer discovered Corey Blue, an 11 year old, found a loaded revolver while playing in the woods behind the family’s apartment building. Corey’s mother took possession of the gun until law enforcement arrived.

    Captain Todd Smith Retires

    After more than 28 years of service to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and 30 years to the citizens of Forsyth County, Captain Todd Smith has retired.

  4. Sergeant Leon Tysinger Retires

    Sergeant Leon Tysinger Retires

    Sergeant Tysinger began his law enforcement career in 1986 as a Park Ranger for Tanglewood Park in Clemmons. Before joining the FCSO family in 1996, Sergeant Tysinger worked with the Winston-Salem Police Department and North Carolina Department of Corrections. He has served in many areas of law enforcement throughout his career, including Patrol, Community Policing and Transportation.
