Now You Can Check Out a Free Pass to the Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Beginning Monday, September 25th Reynolda House Museum of American Art, in partnership with the Library, will offer passes to the Reynolda House Museum of American Art for residents of Forsyth County. These free passes can be checked out with a valid Forsyth County Public Library card from any library location for up to seven days and are good for general admission for two adults during regular museum hours. Children and student admission is free.

This offer is in conjunction with Library Card sign-up month and in collaboration with Forsyth County's sponsorship of Reynolda's centennial year celebrations.

The pass program with the library is part of Reynolda's centennial year outreach. One hundred years ago this year, in December 1917, Katharine Smith Reynolds and her husband, Richard Joshua (R.J.) Reynolds moved into their newly finished estate at 2250 Reynolda Road, a few miles from downtown Winston-Salem. NC, headquarters of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Fifty years later, the magnificent 60-room bungalow, set amid landscaped gardens and rolling hills, opened to the public as a museum dedicated to American art. Today Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Reynolda Gardens and Reynolda Village attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Through November 19th, Reynolda House is hosting the landmark exhibition "Georgia O'Keefe: Living Modern," an exhibition that has already broken attendance records at the museum. While reservation of timed tickets is highly recommended, residents who present the library pass will be granted admission. The museum encourages residents to check the Reynolda House website for further information on current exhibitions and hours.
