Looking Forward, Living Forward--A Discussion Circle for those 50+ @Rural Hall in September/October

You've gained the life experience, would you like to share it? Looking Forward, Living Forward hosts' light-hearted but thoughtful group discussion circles for those who would like to reflect on their life experiences and share how those experiences have shaped their journeys as they approach retirement and the years beyond.

Come gather with us to discuss positive aspects of maturity, and share the chapters of your life story that have made you a better, wiser, and more caring person.

The discussions, led by Looking Forward, Living Forward hosts, examine the past and identify key wisdom that we each have gained through experience. We consider how we can carry that wisdom forward into the next phase of life. The discussions confirm that real wisdom is in everyone, and we learn much from one another.

The discussions are free and open to the public. You can choose to attend one session, or attend them all, and please bring a friend. Many guests find a sense of bonding and community through the discussions and are happy to continue attending each session.

About our Discussion Leaders/Hosts

Sanford Danziger has a background in medicine, psychotherapy and education. He served in the US Peace Corps, and for 15 years at the Center For Creative Leadership on the adjunct faculty. He volunteered in a project doing hands-on care for terminally-ill people and is a co-founder of TRP Enterprises, a training and consulting company.

Susan Baggett is a CPA in semi-retirement. Having had a life-long interest in being of assistance to others, she volunteered for 14 years providing hands-on care for terminally ill people. She trained and organized others who also wanted to serve in that way. Her interest in people led to mentoring adults and youth in personal growth, volunteer service, and personal financial management.

Stephen Leighton is a board-certified family physician who is semi-retired after 40 years in practice. In addition to his medical practice, he has volunteered extensively in numerous areas including residential care for the terminally ill and training volunteers in servant leadership and spiritual entrepreneurship. He is currently active in training Civil Air Patrol members in advanced wilderness first aid.

Deborah Leighton has found serving others offers many opportunities to grow and learn. She spent some years volunteering with children with developmental disabilities and people with terminal illnesses. Her interest in photography has also been an asset in serving others. Now retired, she uses her photography skills as a volunteer in Civil Air Patrol.
