The library may be known as a place for free, fun programs and interesting books, but did you know you can find more than just books at the library? It's true! You can find a quick summary of our fun, not-book items below.

• Playaway Launchpads

Forsyth County Public Libraries have educational tablets available to check out. Ask a staff member at the front desk if you would like to check a tablet out, or click here for more information.

• Playaway Launchpads can only be checked out to an adult with an active library card.
• They can be checked out for one week and have $2 per day late fees.
• They must be returned to the library from which they were borrowed at the front desk during opening hours.

Playaway Bookpacks include an Playaway audiobook device and three themed picture books. You can find Playaway Bookpacks in one of the window of the children's area at Walkertown Branch Library, or click here for more information.

• Playaway Launchpads can be checked out to anyone with an active library card.
• They can be checked out for three weeks and renewed up to four times.
• They can be returned to any Forsyth County Public Library's indoor book return or to an AV outdoor return.

Tactile books at Walkertown Branch Library are books that include a tactile element for our friends who are seeing-impaired. You can find them with the read-alongs above the picture books in the children's area at Walkertown Branch Library, or click here for more information.

Milestone Kits are clear backpacks include two books for adults and three books for kids based on the age level of the kit. You can find Milestone Kits in one of the window of the children's area at Walkertown Branch Library, or click here for more information.

• Milestone Kits can be checked out to anyone with an active library card.
• They can be checked out for three weeks and renewed up to four times.
• They can be returned to any Forsyth County Public Library's indoor book return, but will not fit in outdoor return slots.
