The Forsyth County Department of Public Health invites you to our very first Community Health
Fair. We are very excited to invite the entire community to this event, free of charge! There is no
registration required to attend the event.
This event is sponsored by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health in partnership with
Winston-Salem State University, Cardinal Innovations, and Herbalife. We have many
participants joining us to make this health fair a success! These include the American Red
Cross, Experiment in Self Reliance, Habitat for Humanity, United Health Centers, Big Brothers
Big Sisters, and the United Way. There are many more participants and resources available at
We are also excited to offer FREE health screenings. Screenings that will be offered are
cholesterol, pre-diabetes, pregnancy tests, confidential STI/STD testing, mental health
screenings, and blood pressure tests. There will be exercise demonstrations, free food,
giveaways, and a lot of health information and education!
At our first Community Health Fair, we will combine health issues with something that
Winston-Salem is famous for...the Arts! We are happy to announce our partnership with Mr.
Garrett Davis of G. Davis Productions and the exciting journey through artistic expression he will
take us on. Mr. Davis is an award-winning playwright, producer, and filmmaker and has
developed an educational and entertaining play that focuses on health disparities and how they
impact our community. The play is also open to the public, but seating is first come, first serve!
