On March 22, 2021, Cpl. Sorrell was training another Deputy as they stopped a vehicle for expired registration. Cpl. Sorrell was aware of the driver and knew the driver was homeless. The driver had a warrant and was taken into custody then later released. As the driver went back to his vehicle, it would not start and the driver did not have any money or resources to fix it, nor did he have anywhere to go. Cpl. Sorrell transported the driver to a hotel and paid for the driver to stay for the night. Cpl. Sorrell is an asset to the agency and a caretaker of our community. Due to Cpl. Sorrell's dedication to the agency and community without hesitation, he has been selected as Staff Member of the Month.
