Sergeant Wood is the On-Site Contract Acquisitions Reviewer who is responsible for all the contract personnel security clearances. Sergeant Wood’s job entails oversite for all the contractual services provided at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center (FCLEDC) which includes Commissary Services, Medical Services and Food Services. Sergeant Wood wrote and developed most of the Request for Proposal (RFP) that went out for bid for Medical Services. In doing this, it ensured that the FCLEDC would receive the best practice and medical care for our residents in our facility. Sergeant Wood worked many days, including weekends, during this process without complaining. Sergeant Wood was part of the assessment team during the RFP for the FCLEDC Medical Services. The team evaluated all bidders fair, consistent, and uniformed. Sergeant Wood reported the information during a briefing with the Forsyth County Commissioners. Sergeant Wood works daily with all the contractual managers to ensure they are operating within the contracts. The meticulousness and attention to detail demonstrated by Sergeant Wood are just two of the many attributes that contributed to her being selected as Staff Member of the Month for October.
