Genealogy programs are coming

Genealogy programs are back in full force for the new year. Over the next three months, we will offer various genealogical topics and at various library locations. Here is a preview of programs coming from January to March (all are in-person unless otherwise listed):

Introduction to Online Genealogy (2 offerings)
Have you ever wondered about your family tree? Come learn the genealogy basics with us. You'll learn about different genealogy databases, what forms to use, and what resources the library can offer you.

  • Genetic Genealogy

  • County Records for Genealogy
    Learn about how to find vital records, deeds, wills, and more. It will focus on collections at Register of Deeds and the Courthouse as well as the county records the library holds.

    Where did she go? Come and learn how to find out more about that elusive female ancestor. We will tackle problems with maiden names, specific records, finding women in records that don’t use their name, and more.
