Daria Peoples-Riley to Discuss "This Is It"

When Daria Peoples-Riley heard her daughter say that she wanted to be a ballerina, she kept thinking about the odds against an African-American young woman in this field of dance. This led her to write and illustrate "This Is It", a book about an aspiring dancer that celebrates self-expression. She will be speaking about her book and participate in a special storytime and dance party at the Central Library and storytime at Reynolda Manor Branch between Nov. 16-17. Free and open to the public.

November Holiday Closings

All Forsyth County Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 for Veterans' Day. All branches will also close early at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Library to Partner with Wake Forest Baptist Health to Present Series on Aging Well

The Library is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to present a year-long series of programs on healthy aging. Programs will take place the second Tuesday of each month in the Central Library Auditorium.
