Free Painting Class with Craig Richards Monday, January 22 at Walkertown

Award winning artist Craig Richards will share insights concerning gear, paint, techniques and important concepts essential to successful painting. He will share painting demonstrations and coach students to complete paintings unique to their varied interests and styles. Students are responsible for providing their own supplies. Any colored medium is acceptable since Craig tends to teach concepts as opposed to techniques.

About Our Guest Artist Craig Richards:

Craig has a deep love for the outdoors, spending much of his free time climbing, paddling, and hiking. This love is reflected in the essence of his paintings and sculptures. His paintings are primarily in oils painted in Plein Air. His sculptures combine the feel of the natural world coupled with sparks of modern elements.

Craig studied art at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and received training from several master artists including Heiner Hertling, Louis Escobedo, Elienne Basa, Ralph James and John Budicin. He is the founding member of Triad Outdoor Painters, a group of local artists in the NC Piedmont and foothills. He is also Vice President of Muddy River Art Association.
