Red Barn

Shelters must be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance. Due to necessary preparation, we cannot accommodate requests for reservations less than 2 weeks prior to an event.

The Barn is a Tanglewood landmark. This beautifully redesigned barn can comfortably hold 240 guests, seated. The Barn features an authentic exterior and is complemented by modern interior features. The Barn has an electric food warmer in the kitchen which can accommodate your guests for a sit-down meal.

Other Notes
  • Wood and charcoal are not provided.
  • No kitchen utensils provided.
  • No tape, nails, or tacks allowed on the walls. Each instance will result in an additional clean-up fee being charged.
  • No hay is allowed in the barn. Also, no birdseed or rice. Each instance will result in an additional clean-up fee being charged.
  • The playground across the street will remain open to the public during your event.
  • All rental items must be delivered and picked up on day of event. No rental items may be left overnight.
  • Tanglewood is not responsible for any items left after rental period.
  • Only waxless candles are allowed. No open-flame candles are allowed.
  • Please be aware that in late September, the lights for Festival of Lights will be in the process of being put up in the parking lot of the Barn. We will not delay putting up the lights for an event.

In order to effectively provide service excellence to our customers, the Tanglewood Park's Marketing and Events Office requires appointments to be set up by clients in order to view rental facilities. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this process. Scheduled appointments will allow us to better serve our customers as it correlates with our professional standards that we strive to provide for citizens, customers, vendors and contractors.   • Mondays: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
  • Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Thursdays: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

General Park Information

  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Passenger Vans and Buses
    • $2.00 - All other vehicles
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Welcome Center for $50.00 for passenger vans and buses and $25.00 for all other vehicles. Entrance fees and annual passes do not include admission to special events.
