Synopsis and Discussion
Air quality levels have increased, Tuesday, to upper code GREEN/low code YELLOW, as high pressure, over the SE US, provides mostly sunny skies, warm temperatures, and light winds. Clouds will be on the increase, Wednesday, as the ridge gives way to an approaching cold front, from the west. The cloud cover will help to keep ozone lower and mid code GREEN. Although, particle pollution will remain slightly elevated, ahead of the front, and low code YELLOW, Wednesday. Numerous showers and thunderstorms, Thursday, associated with the frontal passage, will lead to code GREEN AQI readings. A much cooler air mass will overspread the region, Friday, helping to keep the air quality GOOD and code GREEN to end the work week (GENTRY).
