An arctic cold front has swept through the Triad, ushering in much cleaner air. Particle pollution readings were high enough early this morning for daily averages to net out in the lower Code Yellow range, however, the air shed is now quite clean for your afternoon and evening plans. With the clean air mass continuing to stream in tomorrow, good air quality is on tap to start the new workweek. High pressure will move overhead and offshore through midweek, still continuing to extend westward into the area. Surface winds will become light and conditions will be primed for strong nocturnal temperature inversions. AQI readings are expected to return to the Code Yellow range for Tuesday and Wednesday as a result. (Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
