Corporal Horton has worked diligently over the past several months preparing for the First Degree Murder trial of Kevin Kraig Taylor, who murdered his mother in September of 2007. His preparation and testimony with the District Attorney’s Office culminated in a guilty verdict via Jury Trial.

Corporal Horton spent a total of five and a half hours on the stand over the course of two days, explaining the crime scene and subsequent follow-up investigations. A major portion of his testimony was complicated with technical terminology, however he explained each term and process to jurors in a manner they could understand. His testimony and evidence was superb, indicating the high level of professionalism Corporal Horton holds.

Corporal Horton arrived early to court daily and stayed late to ensure chain of custody was maintained on all evidence. He also assisted the trial clerk with dispositions of evidence entered in to court record. Judge A. Moses Massey complimented Corporal Horton on his clear and concise testimony.

Congratulations Corporal Horton.
