At the conclusion of Officer Spaugh’s shift on December 25, 2020, the oncoming team asked if anyone could stay until the completion of lockdown due to staffing issues. Officer Spaugh stepped up and answered their call for assistance instead of going home to her family for Christmas. After realizing they would need help the next two nights, Officer Spaugh did not hesitate to volunteer for those shifts as well. Officer Spaugh put the needs of the agency ahead of any plans she had for the holidays.
